The brand new GDSN Implementation Guideline for Carbon Footprint Data has just been released.

This is the latest document produced by the GS1 in Europe B2B2C Working Group and contains a series of recommendations and instructions to harmonise the exchange of carbon footprint data. This is a subject that is becoming increasingly important in the lives of companies, and is also under the attention of European regulators.

The European Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) stipulates that companies must provide regular information on the social and environmental risks they face and how their activity affects the environment and people.

This is a new challenge for many companies, which are still not fully aware of the legislation, its requirements and the mechanisms needed to collect, process and share this data

The new GDSN Implementation Guideline for Carbon Footprint Data Exchange provides the most up-to-date strategies for complying with the CSRD and reporting sustainability data, while enabling companies to improve transparency, comply with regulations and be at the vanguard of data exchange via GDSN.
