On 7 September 2023, GS1 in Europe hosted its first industry-driven hybrid event, fully dedicated to the ever more important subject for industry: data!

It was a one-day event attended by more than 400 people from 40 countries, who joined either online or in person in Cologne, demonstrating how pertinent and significant this event was, but also emphasising the industry’s collective effort to promote collaboration and progress!

Throughout two Plenary sessions and four Workshops, we witnessed truly enlightening presentations from representatives of industry, retail, supply, brands and GS1. We discussed best practices in data sharing and data quality, addressed the upcoming European regulatory requirements and mapped out the paths for the immediate future, regarding data processing and sharing.
