Regulation EU 1169/2011 has approved new food labelling rules, to provide more comprehensive information about the content and composition of food products.
GS1 and its partners have worked together to ensure that GS1 standards comply with the new requirements.
The latest versions of our guidelines on the use of GS1 standards for the 1169 are available to download, as well as the provenance of primary ingredients, at the Publications section.
