The GS1 in Europe Board is composed of the CEOs from the 49 Member Organisations that are part of the regional platform. Its role is to review and approve the strategy, budget and annual operating plan. The Board meets at least three times a year, keeping on top of changes and exploring new strategic opportunities.

Three CEOs have a specific role on this Board: one holds the position of  GS1 in Europe Chair and two GS1 in Europe Vice-Chairs. The positions are held for a 3 year period.

For 2024-2026, our Chair is Jan Somers from GS1 Belgium and Luxembourg and our two Vice-Chairs are Elif Müftüoglu from GS1 Türkiye and Gregor Herzog from GS1 Austria. You can read more information here.
